My name is Timothy Crawford. I used to Doordash for a living until my car brokedown. Now me and my wife are living in a weekly rate motel. Everything I’m making is going towards rent and food and I’m unable to save and get out of this situation. I’ve reached out to every local church and charity and organization and I’ve reached out to local authorities and nobody will help. We have no family. My family is dead and my girl comes from a broken family. I’m a Katrina survivor and my family lost everything in Katrina and I lost all of my family in the years after Katrina. I’m the last Creole that I know of in my area and my community was decimated in Katrina and by the policies in the years after.

I’m from the Mississippi-Alabama Gulf Coast. My area has no public transportation. I haven’t been able to get any help from any of the people around here and when I’ve reached out on local social media I’ve just gotten attacked and banned. I’m trying to raise enough to ultimately get a car or at least get an apartment. Anything helps and I just really need help keeping everything afloat by keeping a roof over our heads and keeping us fed in the meantime. I’m dealing with the effects of extreme malnutrition and trying to recover amongst all of this. My day-to-day is dealing with fluctuating dimming vision, dizziness and other symptoms from extreme malnutrition. I just genuinely need help.
