Out roaming the beach as usual and happened upon this dingdong in a brand new Mercedes Sprinter buried up to the running boards right in the surf line. Waves were crashing against The passenger side.

Ended up getting the bougie rig unstuck, but it took about 5 hours, 5 trucks, all the tow straps, and all the winches. Tow companies typically will not service this part of the beach and there are multiple warning signs posted stating how you need high clearance and good driving skills. Basically you’re on your own. It doesn’t happen often because most folks who go that far are actually prepared but once in a blue moon someone has their truck totaled due to salt water flooding and a $10k tow bill.

This guy got lucky I suppose. There’s a lot of filler to the story but it’s 630am and I’m getting ready to leave for work. I wasn’t sure where to post this so I stuck it here since it’s tangentially related to the earth. Someone can delete it if it shouldn’t be here.
