I started the so-called advanced workflow to enable the installation of apps from unverified developers on my tablet, and because I didn’t want to wait the 24h post-restart period to truly enable it, figured I could try bypassing the process by uninstalling the verifier’s package (com.google.android.verifier). I didn’t expect anything, but as it turns out, it really got uninstalled and my tablet’s original apk isn’t anywhere to be found. Now, I’m wondering if this is going to prevent me from installing unverified apps when the time comes, or if there’ll be nothing to verify with on the first place, and if the verification process just won’t be there. Truth be told, I don’t believe bypassing Google’s hurdles is that easy, so I’ll admit the whole thing is leaving me a bit confused. Anyone more knowledgeable than me know anything about this?
