Happy Thursday, Inkineers-
We’re so close to Go-time for Inktober! I hope the Inktober52 challenge has helped to keep you in fighting form.
We’re up to our eyeballs in happenings over here in Inktoberland; all of it good in some way or another but even with a plethora of good things, they all come with extra effort, work, stress, and management. I find the best way to shake off a rough or exhausting day is to crank up the tunes in the kitchen and have a dinner-making DANCE party. We do this a lot in the Parker house, somebody is cutting veggies, somebody else is stirring the rice, and somebody (ok fine, it’s usually me) is dusting off those amazing dance moves that made us all look so cool in the 80’s and 90’s. Of course the teenagers are never embarrassed or horrified as The Running Man and I are proving who’s still got it while MC Hammer reminds us not to touch this. You can’t keep having a bad day with Vanilla Ice or Run-D.M.C., it would just be too tricky.
For our prompt this week, show us what DANCE inspires for you, and for bonus points, maybe share a video of your own dinner-time dance party as you get jiggy with it. It’s guaranteed to lift your spirits.
Wishing you all the boogie-down best,
-Alison
