I'm not sure whether Hubzilla supports and recognises the language tag used by Mastodon and others. If your goal is to weed out your stream and make the number of messages less overwhelming, there are better techniques for that.
For example, if you have contacts who repeat/boost/repost loads of uninteresting stuff, you can filter out their repeats/boosts/reposts with this in the blocklists for each of these contacts:
You may just as well have contacts from whom nothing interesting ever comes. But you feel like you must endure what comes from them in order to let them follow you because Hubzilla only supports bidirectional contacts. And you can't ignore or Superblock them because you still want to be able to read their comments and DMs.
There's a solution for this as well, but it makes use of the permissions system, and it's a bit more complex.
I hope that one of the next upgrades will roll out a fix for Boolean filters that's in dev now.
