I’m very surprised checking the "Lego City" theme and seeing that there’s police station, fire station, airport, trains, buses, boats, other stuff… but no inhabitants!

This is not as I remember from years ago. Then there were also houses (this and this for instance), the postman…

What happened? Colour me nostalgic, but looking at older sets I find them more beautiful than many I see today.
