Trump to America: Screw Off A cartoon shows Trump sitting in a chair in the Oval Office, with his hand in the back of a wooden puppet that looks like Todd Blanche. Trump is saying, "Let me introduce my new Attorney General." When Todd Blanche speaks on the stage at the Trumpapalooza convention, he will be breaking the law that prohibits federal employees from engaging in partisan political activity. But of course no one in the administration will enforce this law. This is Trump saying, “Screw you and your laws, America. I AM the law! I DO WHAT I WANT.” Now you’d be right if you point out that Trump was already saying that with his attacks on elections and Constitutional rights, his profiteering in the White House swamp. But this is a bigger public audience: a national broadcast event. And Blanche, Trump’s personal attorney, is the Attorney General, the top law enforcement officer in the nation. The only reasonable response from America is to tell Trump, “No, we’re here to stay. YOU SCREW OFF!” Vote, donate, volunteer, help get others out to vote. Help create a massive rejection of Trump. Do what you can to help get the lapdog Republicans out of Washington!
