Bored of all the astra vs fable 5.1 opinion pieces. So thought i’ll ask something thats on my mind for a while. In engineering colleges (especially programming oriented fields) what are they teaching now? Any padawans around in college here? How are colleges keeping up with advent of AI coding. Cause coding itself isnt the skill or blocker now and I know its not perfect but honestly give it an year or so and it will be close to perfection. Are they going back to the basic theory and understanding - is that also needed or gpt can answer better? Are they being pushed to learn much more complex and deeper fields now? - heck is that even needed? Bigger question ! what does the job market look like for them? Is this what the Younglings felt watching the first battle droid roll off the line? “It’s fine, they can’t do the hard part.” Then Grievous walks in with four lightsabers.
