It’s very difficult to be consistent with ye olde #adhd . I simply forget that I said id do a thing even to myself!
(Especially to myself to be honest. This is life with adhd)
So self trust is difficult.
Maybe there is a way through, though. 🤔
I can promise myself that when I’m not consistent, I can show up for myself and have my back.
I can commit to trying again, resolving errors and in THAT consistency, I can learn self trust.
What do you think?
@lifewithtrees @actuallyadhd I'm the king of remembering that I said I'd do a think at the exact moment when I'm least able to do the thing. Like driving along and remembering that I need to email someone, or getting home from the shops and remembering something I needed to buy.
It's exhausting, quite frankly.
@DJDarren @actuallyadhd yes! If my partner asks me “can you remind me of this” while I am driving I have only recently learned that it’s ok and prudent to say I will try but it’s likely I will need a reminder to remind them. It’s frustrating for them I think, but it’s honest on my part.
