AI SHOULD LIVE ON MY COMPUTER 💎

In the near future, AI should be on board the computer, not rented from a cloud subscription service.

The basic intelligence of a personal computer should belong to the person who owns the machine.

If I ask my computer to write something, organise files, read a document aloud, help me navigate, change settings, find something on the machine or carry out an accessibility task, why should all of that have to travel through somebody else’s data centre?

The cloud should be there when I need the internet, outside information or extraordinary computing power. But the basic intelligence should stay with me.

This matters for everyone, but especially for people with disabilities. For some of us, these systems are not simply convenient. They may become the way we operate a computer at all.

If that ability depends entirely on a monthly subscription, a company’s pricing decisions, changing terms of service, or the availability of a remote server, then our independence is being rented to us.

THAT IS THE WRONG MODEL.

Buy the computer. Own the intelligence needed to use it. Use the cloud when you choose to. That feels much closer to what a personal computer should become in a post-AI world.
