BACK TO EPL ON EFOOTBALL😂😁

***  *** MY SQUAD FOR THE MATCH ***  *** I finally did it. That 1-0 win just put me back on top of the EPL league table in eFootball and I’m still buzzing 😂❤️. It was Matchday 7 against Sunderland RWB and I went into it knowing the whole season could swing on this one game. If I drew or lost, I’d drop to second and all that grinding would mean nothing. The pressure was mad from the warmup. I had my best XI out, tactics set, and I was telling myself "just don’t concede, take your chance, and hold on." The stadium was full, the banners were out, and the moment the whistle blew I could feel this was going to be a proper league decider. Every pass felt important, every tackle felt like it mattered, because three points was the difference between staying top and chasing again. The goal came in the 22nd minute and it had to be Wayne Rooney. My 97-rated Rooney card. We worked it up from midfield, I was patient, didn’t force it, and then the ball fell to him just outside the box. I took one touch, lined it up, and hit it. It flew past the keeper and into the bottom corner. 1-0. The game even gave me "Marvellous Goal! Now Keep Going!" and I lost it. Rooney ran straight to the net, grabbed it, and did that hands-to-head celebration while the crowd went crazy. I watched the replay twice. The angle was perfect, the keeper dove but it was too clean. That one moment changed everything. I knew right then that if I could just defend for the next 70 minutes, I’d stay top of the table and keep my title charge alive. After that it turned into a full defensive masterclass. Sunderland didn’t give up. They started pinging the ball around, trying to pull my defense apart. Minute after minute they were in my half. I had Joshua Kimmich breaking up play, Nelson Angulo covering ground, Roberto Carlos putting in last-ditch blocks, and everyone tracking back. I was switching players like crazy, using Dash & Pressure, clearing balls I had no business reaching. There were moments where I thought "this is it, they’re gonna equalize," but somehow we held. The AI was throwing everything at me, crosses, through balls, shots from distance, but my backline didn’t break. It wasn’t the prettiest football I’ve played but when you’re top of the league, 1-0 wins are worth more than 5-0 thrashings. When the final whistle went I just sat there staring at the screen for a solid minute. 1-0. Three points. Still top of the EPL. I immediately checked the table and nobody had overtaken me. That single Rooney goal was the difference. If I had bottled it and drawn 1-1 like I did last week in Division 5, I’d be second right now and chasing. But this time I didn’t. I held the lead, I managed the game, and I got the result that actually matters. It’s so different from those AI matches where you get robbed. This felt earned. Every tackle, every clearance, every time I switched off an attacker and tracked back, it all added up to keeping that clean sheet. Now I’m sitting top with that 1-0 win behind me and it feels so good 😂. Rooney with the winner, the defense actually did their job, and I didn’t collapse in the last 10 minutes. There’s still a long way to go in the league and teams will be coming for me now that I’m first, but this is exactly the kind of win that wins titles. One goal, three points, and top of the table. I’m going to enjoy it tonight, but tomorrow it’s back to grinding. If we can keep turning these tight games into wins, that EPL trophy is actually possible.
