I opened a thread on !movies@lemm.ee following some diverging visions on how to manage this kind of communities with the mod of !moviesandtv@lemm.ee.

I am now suggesting to retake this community or create another one that would be more structured, especially
- weekly “what have you been watching lately” thread
- dedicated threads for shows and TV. Discoverability of those threads would be eased by having a research bar in the sidebar. What do you people think? Should we use this community, or create another one? If the latter, what would be the name? /c/moviestvreviews? /c/moviestvdiscussions? Feel free to share your suggestions

All that said, I am very much in favor of some of the things you suggest (particularly dedicated threads for discussion on each new movie) and I think it would probably go a long way towards improving the real-world value of the community. I think this is particularly true as it seems unlikely that with 1.1k subscribers the community has properly filled their niche.
Do you think there is any way the mod of !moviesandtv@lemm.ee would consider some sort of deal wherein you moderate and run this spinoff community with more structured discussion, while they link to and officially endorse the community (of course contingent on ongoing good relations)?
