Chinese researchers successfully activated and captured a luminous sphere highly similar to natural balllightning for the first time. They confirmed its nature as an electromagnetic soliton, providing important experimental evidence for unraveling the mystery of ball lightning. The findings were published on April 16 in the international academic journal Nature Photonics.
