Cool things include:

  • Flatpak portals (because the GNOME project is heavily involved/invested in flatpak).
  • New GNOME OS things.
  • GTK can now render SVGs in-toolkit meaning we can have animated icons (the rust-based librsvg/glycin is still necessary for untrusted svgs/images).
  • GNOME Boxes revival for building an accessible interface for virtual machines.
