They basically showed up for the group photo and still got a seat at the UN. The meme gets it right, they left before doing any real fighting, but the Allies were just like, ‘you didn’t even do anything.’

The way I understood it, it was more about joining the allies in case the soviets decided to go from WW2 directly into WW3.
Turkey’s contribution to ww2 was not joining on axis side. It looked like a possibility would Stalingrad have fallen.
They also traded and supplied Germany all the time ww2 lasted
