It’s nice to see efforts paying off. Things are going in the right direction but there’s still a lot more to do.

UK does pretty well for wind power.
7 of the top 10 offshore wind farms by capacity, and all of the top 5.
Of the 16 large farms currently being constructed worldwide, 5 of them are UK farms.
I read a while back that the UK and Ireland get over 40% of the wind that blows over Europe, so at least it’s being put to good use.
We try to find a benefit for our shit weather.
Meanwhile, we keep being told offshore wind can never work

In electricity generation *. Probably not as good once you take all primary production into account, especially transportation.
However coal specifically is amazing. I thought "lowest consumption since 1757 was a typo, but it is not.
