You’re right that the pixiv version looks brighter than the one hosted on pictr. I don’t recall seeing something similar when providing either jpg, png or webp to lemmy.world pictr
ani.social has migrated to lemmy 0.19, could it be an issue related to this? To check without creating a post, you can just upload an image in post creation without actually posting. It will create a pictr URL that you can compare with the version from ani.social.
If you don’t have a 0.18 account, feel free to post an url to your source image and I’ll make the test for you
