This seems like a client issue rather than a piefed issue, but since it seems to affect every client, Piefed is the common denominator.
My account has reached its upload quota, so I can’t upload images in comments and replies, etc.
I can however, still upload image posts. But only from the web browser.
If I try to upload an image post from a client app (any client app), it acts like I’m uploading an image to a comment or a reply and blocks any uploads past the quota.
Is this intended behavior? Am I not supposed to be able to make image posts after hitting the quota? (That seems like a bad idea, IMO.)
Or are image posts a different category of upload that doesn’t count against your quota? If that’s the case, what would client apps need to change to match the web browser experience for making piefed image posts?
