Restoring Europe’s seagrass meadows just got a clear, shared plan. More than 50 scientists from 17 European countries have released the European Seagrass Recommendations 2026, the first continent-wide agreement to protect, monitor, and rebuild these underwater habitats. The European Seagrass Restoration Alliance (ESRA) published the document to guide governments, funders, and restoration teams.
