    Studio ghibli movies are shows what anime would be like if it wasn’t made to appeal to horny adolescent boys. I think it’s the only Japanese animation I would dare watching with my parents / kids without having to check prior if it got weird shit like in the second panel. I remember my brother begging me to watch the movie “your name” ( or weathering with you? I don’t remember ) the first ten minutes a boy exchange his body with a girl and vice versa. The first thing the boy does? grope himself. I closed it and re-watched princess mononoke instead.

      Not every animation has to be for kids or tame. And I would love more stuff that would be weird to watch with parents or something. However a lot of anime is just weird and immature imo, but studio ghibli stuff isn’t the only that is bearable to watch

      That and a few other things aside, it is still a very good movie I would recommend. Although I will agree that is a bit awkward.
