  I could be misremembering, but I think the reason he said that was because his ego got bruised as all hell when they first met. Henry decided to do this grand gesture type of intrance where he was “in disguise” and had convinced himself that his new bride would recognize him and fall into his arms. Instead, Anne was put off by his antics and pulled away because how would she know whom he was when they had literally never met?

  So little “I like her not” tantrum and subsequent mockery of her looks was due to a severely bruised ego because a perfect stranger couldn’t read his thoughts.

  Correct me if I’m wrong. It has been a friggin minute since I was obsessed with the Tudor family so my memory is rusty.
