This is mildly embarrassing, but… Well, I’ll share it, it might help you too.

As a man who’s been a bit short on foot for the past 8 years, I have this annoying problem when I go for a wee: I lean forward slightly for that last drop, and more often than not, I find myself falling forward in slow motion and scrambling to free a hand to catch the wall in front of me - which has resulted in me looking like a fool in many a public bathroom.

My wife heard me slam the wall in the bathroom for the nth time and told me: “Why don’t you take one step forward, straddle the john and pee straight down?”

Duh… Yeah, that works. It doesn’t look very manly, but it’s completely obvious 🙂
