Russian oil refinery, airbase, Wildberries warehouse reportedly struck by Ukrainian forces. Ukraine struck a Russian airbase in Engels, an oil refinery in Saratov, and a warehouse belonging to Russian online retail giant Wildberries in Novosemeykino overnight on Aug. 2, monitoring channels reported.
Ukraine strikes 3 oil refineries, 4 radar systems deep inside Russia, SBU says. Geolocated footage by the independent Russian outlet ASTRA showed two columns of black smoke rising from the refinery. Local residents reported hearing explosions and seeing drones over the city.
Russian drone attack on Rozetka warehouse kills employee, injures 7 following Ukrainian strikes on Russia’s Wildberries. A Russian drone struck a warehouse belonging to Ukrainian online retailer Rozetka in Kyiv Oblast on Aug. 1, killing one employee and injuring seven others after Ukrainian strikes targeted Russian retail giant Wildberries in recent weeks.
Ukraine sinks sanctioned Russian ship in Black Sea, Zelensky says. Zelensky said Yanina was a sanctioned Russian container ship with a capacity of more than 100,000 metric tons.
Russia hits another Ukrainian publisher warehouse as attacks on book industry mount. The strike sparked a fire at the publishing house’s warehouse, engulfing around 10,000 square meters (108,000 square feet), Kharkiv Oblast Governor Oleh Syniehubov said on Telegram. One man was reportedly injured in the attack.
