The film shows a trip to the Canadian wilderness, canoeing, camping, and then observation of moose in their natural habitat. Official description: Starting with the noisy roar of traffic in a big city, rock drilling and noisy steel riveting, the spectator is magically transported to the wilderness, where the moose hunters make a perilous canoe trip through White Water Rapids, over falls, and with a careful portage over beaver dams. A campfire scene with fresh fish and flapjacks precedes their arrival at the beautiful inland lake, where the moose are shown feeding, standing with curiosity, leaving in alarm, and swimming vigorously. Many individuals are shown. A huge bull with magnificent antlers, a cow moose weighing a ton and a half, and all reproduced by splendid photography,with beautiful backgrounds and in their native haunts. A beautiful scenic and sports picture which will delight every lover of the backwoods and our greatest game animal at his best. The movie begins with a title card decrying "...the never ending clamor of the city..." and alluding to the "whispered invitation of the great woods". At :32, are shots of a busy city street in what appears to be New York City, probably Fifth Avenue. At :46, a truck driver taps his horn. At 1:28, are images of a Canadian forest. At 1;42, a canoe moves through rapids and past a beaver's dam. At 3:55, a campsite is set up with a tent, and dinner cooked: flapjacks, pike and coffee. At 5:19, moose are introduced, and features of the cow and bull described. Motion picture films don't last forever; many have already been lost or destroyed.
