‘All Of Sony Systems’ Allegedly Hacked By New Ransomware Group.::There’s a new gang on the dark web that claims it’s breached all of Sony’s systems in a ransomware attack.
Is this a seperate Sony entity than Sony Pictures? How could this article not mention the Sony Pictures hack from 2014. How did they not improve things in the 9 years since then.
Aren’t they both Sony? Seems like they should’ve learned the lesson either way.
They’re separate entities. Sony pictures is a client of my company and I’ve seen what their systems are like and their security practices. Pretty unlikely for them to get hit with ransomware at this scale unless they managed to use social engineering
I miss lulzboat.

I don’t have a lot of sympathy for the company that used cds to install rootkits on their customers’ computers.
