  12 months ago when i got an ecar every whiney prick saying too long to charge an EV, they’re useless. How long to wait at a servo with no petrol or diesel ? i pointed out the main reason to go ev was the uncertain supply chain and the ability to refuel off the solar panels on your roof adding resilience. Australia has endless solar but here we are.

    If you have a garage, driveway or a parking space with a power point, EV charging just happens while you’re doing something else. On longer trips it happens while you’re taking a leak or waiting for your coffee.

    The people who have absolutely zero access to charging and need to rely on fast charging for all their driving, they need to be able to charge in 5 minutes on the way to work, but what they really need is an outlet installed wherever they’re parking their car overnight.
