    Earlier this month, the Japanese government approved a bill to introduce the Japan Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (JESTA), which will apply to visitors from 74 countries.

    The new system is aiming to tighten up immigration rules, and will require tourists to provide the following details:

    • their passport information
    • the reason they’re visiting
    • details of their accommodation

    Not exactly the end of the world.
