Today’s game is Sea of Thieves. Me and some friends were talking about playing this the other day. We even got a new guy on to join us. We didn’t do much of anything, it was kind of a clusterfuck, in a good way.

We tried doing an Ashen Fort but our Galley Cook got a little too into his job and tried to cook the boat. By setting it on fire. So we kept having too rush between the fort and the boat and save it. Eventually we ran out of supplies and had to turn back.

That’s what’s partly fun about this game. You can’t kill eachother but you can fuck each other over in other ways. It creates some hilarious moments, especially when you buckle down and actually put team work to the test.

After the fort we accidentally sailed right out of bounds, and got thoroughly terrified because we all forgot the water turns blood red there and couldn’t figure out what the hell was going on. We had to hit the anchor to do a 180 and book it out of there. Only once we were clear did we go “ohhh. Yeah. We went out of bounds. Okay.”

After all that though we made for port to end for the night. A total of 1 hour spent in burning a ship and panicking over blood red water. It was a hell of a way to spend the night, and we talked about doing it again.

Though, one thing that rubbed me the wrong away about returning is for some reason personalized audio for my headset is locked behind a paywall? And not even a cheap one. It’s fucking 20$. 20$ for a sound profile for my headphones is ridiculous.

Gripes aside, it was fun even if that soured my mood. I hope to play again soon, and maybe get more done this time.
