Expensive (95k) but has a cool design: https://www.scottenmotors.com/ev-builds
I would love a smaller car that is also repairable EV.
Also the owner of the company is in the hackaday comments.

Man that video at the end of the view of the axle from underneath while driving — two separate fan enclosures with small sheet-metal straps and fiddly little electronics-case screws, all facing down toward the road and right behind the wheels?
This is not a place where you put fans, or big openings into the kind of electronics you need fans to cool, if you want them to keep functioning while driving through salty slush and mud.
Seems perfect for Southern California
- 300M half axles with 930 CV joints
!!! That is WAY TOO MANY half-axles and CV joints! You need to tone it down guys, TWO half axles with TWO CV joints each is plenty!!!
No wonder it costs so much….
I miss the old days when cars were made with 500-600 CV joints. Much more manageable.
Ford already knows you want expensive but cool.
This is cool but I think the reason Ford isn’t selling many trucks is because they are expensive. And this at $95k… cool but too expensive for me. I realize batteries are expensive but they need to start making cheaper EVs. Not everyone can afford a luxury car/truck and the Lightning, while cool, is definitely a luxury truck.

Ford doesn’t care about what you want, they care about what people will buy. And people overwhelmingly do not buy single cab trucks.
This truck is from a bygone era where they were used by farmers and tradespeople. These days people buy them as status symbols to commute to the office.

Yet they lobby to ban Kei trucks. They struggle to compete with 25 y/o Japanese single cab work trucks with import fees.

You mean they dont care what people want they sell what people will pay the most for. Nobody is stupid enough to pay over 100k for an ev not even tesla truck guys.
