Hi,
I want to share a thing that I actually think will be pretty useful to the gaming community and smaller indie developers - it’s called Gamevestor, and apparently, they had a launch today.
They promote themselves as “a webpage where small developers can find funding for their games and normal gamers like me, and you, can invest in games they like, so support creators + maybe earn some money”.
Basically, you can invest as little as 100 euros, which I found a killer feature in my case because I’m not a big investor who has a pile of money and has nothing to do with it.
What I also like is that it’s not just a bunch of randos who can post their games on Gamevestor webpage (I truly support indie developers, but a lot of indie games are just bad), but creators need to pass some kind of verification process, and I can see different metrics and potential earnings when investing in a game.
The only con (for some people) I found - is that you can invest only if you are an EU citizen. I guess it’s related to laws and paperwork, because the Gamevestor company is located in France, as far as I can see. You also need to pass a verification process to be able to invest, maybe this process is hard to implement for the US or other countries, idk.
Anyway, if you would like to support some indie games (for now, Gamevestor has 3 projects) and potentially earn some money - give Gamevestor a try.
I included referral links to Gamevestor. If you don’t want to be my referral (you earn some %, I earn some %) - just go straight to www.gamevestor.co/en
