In the year 1995 (YOLD 3161) crypto-anarchist and (soon to be convicted) tax cheat Jim Bell began sharing a series of essays about an idea very similar to modern “prediction markets” (such as polymarket and kalshi), but with an interesting twist having it be about literally killing literal politicians, and thus the name of this series of essays was “Assassination Poltiics”
This community is a safe place for analyzing and discussing the topic of “Assassination Politics” in the modern age of “Prediction Markets” and hyper-capitalism.
This is not a place to advocate for literal assassinations of specific people.
This community exists to explore something currently hypothetical in a time when it’s dangerously close to being real. The existence of thinly regulated Prediction Markets along side barely regulated crypto-currency inevitably leads us closer to Jim Bell’s idea becoming a reality.
