Reddit can be it’s own thing. If you need a discussion on a topic, it has it’s own search. If you’re searching for an article on something, you now have to wade through the sponsored results, the Reddit posts, the YouTube videos, the tiktok videos…
Basically, I think people will soon get sick of every Google search leading to a site with that smug Reddit mascot cunt if you ever dare use your VPN, which then contains 20 posts discussing the issue with no answer or solution, before moving to the next, identical Reddit thread result.
Another contributing factor is the TikTok website just doesn’t fucking work half the time and the only support they offer is a misconfigured AI prone to getting stuck in loops.

I don’t love Reddit but I prefer it to TikTok. So I would say this is slightly good news.
