I’m glad to see Apple being forced to be more open. For consistency, I look forward to Japan forcing Sony and Nintendo to allow alternate stores on their devices too in accordance with the MSCA.

It would be so cool to have homebrew apps on the switch 2. I would only need simple text editing and video chat for work when I travel so it would be great to be able to do that without having to carry my laptop.

When something is a privilege nation-states can decide to give or not, it doesn’t become common.
All things common are what’s perceived as natural right recognized by nation-states.
People in power of nation-states only learn to respect natural rights after storms. Then over time forget them again.
