In the above thread we have come to the conclusion that hot reset has stopped forking for some reason (this is what I had come up with when it first happened), any thoughts?
OK, this is really annoying…
I have an intel based PC that I use as a server that is sitting under the lounge TV that I was using to drive the TV with a linux VM using pci pass-through of the iGPU.
Every thing was working well, then all of a sudden there was no output to the TV. The iGPU still works fine during boot.
I have just updated proxmox to the latest, and no better results.
I sometimes will get it to work on a new install of a vm, but on reboot of the vm it all stops.
Any thoughts on where/what to look at?

You haven’t given much detail to go on. I’m pretty sure proxmox has a support dump button (I’m out of the house right now so I can’t check), but you could at least do lshw, lspci, etc., and the VM config file.
You might get better answers from the proxmox support forum. It’s more active than Lemmy.
