    Side note, I thought the thumbnail was a crime scene photo at first. Looks like the top of a guy’s head.

      I’m not sure yet, since im not 100% on the id i may find some good trees to spread it around after i do more homework on it.

    The app tells right on the screenshot, that you have to use your own brain for any choice, but it really helped me with identification many times. Feeding it your photos gave me the same result. The app is “Picture Mushroom”:Image

      INaturalist said the same and i think i read through the mushroom picture site. INaturalist also let others ID your pictures so hopefully I’ll get more confirmation.

    Maybe it’s the lighting but that spore print looks more brown than pink. Otherwise it looks enough like P. Petasatus IMO.

      The print is brown but very thick, even in the thinner areas i don’t see pink.

        Hm I guess petasatus just has browner spores than most Pluteus, the spore print here looks similar.

        Was it growing on wood at least?
