It sure has been, but there’s was a time not terribly long ago when there were regulations and actual competition. All that’s gone now, so it’s not getting any better

Living locally will become the new normal. The business fucks need to give up flying to a meeting and use the worldwide communications infrastructure. The airlines will then be rethinking their greed, I mean “business strategy”.

The article explains that this will not affect prices in general, but specifically identify individuals that have no choice but to buy even at a higher price and charge them extra. It is unlikely to cause a drop in usage, as it only effects people that need to fly urgently for some reason.
