Had to verify to use Bluesky today… guess that’s the end of that platform in the UK (not that it was doing great anyhoo)
That’s the problem with large platforms run by a few millionaires: you can’t just add your own server and be done with it. Mastodon is here for you.
Yup - I like the fediverse too, but I have plenty of clients who don’t. Plenty tried Bluesky, most have left. They all seem to be going towards (shudder) threads now
if you're on android just use the june apk or a third party client
if you're on desktop, just use ublock to filter/replace the verification
The terfs will not be missed.

I get workarounds, but for many they’ll just leave…
