I heard the concept from the Electronic Frontier Foundation and It sounds like one of the end game goals for linux users. Imagine smuggling a €50 laptop component to see the free internet from anywhere on the globe.
Almost anywhere. I don’t think it’s practical to maintain satellite coverage above the Arctic or Antarctica, especially since the telescope operators, who are a large portion of the population, would much rather have a clean view.

Maybe stealing some starlink certificates and building a phased array antenna? Some mapping of the satellites can predict where they are within a year or two, so someone can map the starlink junk in space to communicate with it and take the best satellite with the phased array antenna.
