Seriously there are like 30 touhou communities: what is this thing and what the hell is a cirno?
It’s a 2D top-down bullet-dodging game franchise from the 90s that spawned a large collection of other media: Music (everything from catchy pop tracks to metalcore, dance routines, official manga, fan doujins (including h doujins) and anime, and of course, memes.
I’ve never actually played the official games myself, but the music from fan bands inspired by the in-game tracks was pretty good.

It’s a series of bullethell games with like a kerzillion characters who are cute. Fans are lunatics, but that’s pretty neat.
