That is definitely not just lemm.ee.

There seems to be a 5k drop in monthly active users (from 46k to 41k) lemmy.fediverse.observer/dailystats
It seems high as Lemm.ee had 1k daily active users for the last week.
The drop in posts also seems much higher (13 millions to 9 millions) that it should be, as most of the active communities had migrated a few weeks ago

What’s the count from the week before the shutdown announcement?

I don’t remember to be honest

I wonder if it was counting the same actions multiple times, once for every instance it appeared on.
Seems like a likely bug to me.

But some of the users and community moved to other platform like piefed for example not sure if that is part of the stats.

Many comms moved to piefed, are they counted in that graph?
Blaze@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 months ago
Here are the graphs for Piefed: piefed.fediverse.observer/dailystats
As you can see, the numbers don’t really add up. I think at this point we should just take the fediverse.observer data with a grain of salt.
