  According to Russian state-owned news agency TASS, Muromsky, Bessonov, Golovachuk, and Korotaev confirmed they were involved in REvil activities between October 2015 and January 2022, and primarily targeted US citizens.

  Oh, well then. This makes sense.

    What makes even more sense is that they now might be secretly forced to hack for the government in exchange for bread and water and starting out of prison.
