I wonder if sharing movies over BitTorrent is legal as several neural networks are there as well, and they learn from the movies being shared.

AI can steal from you, but not from movie studios or record labels. I don’t want to be too confusing with the legal jargon and case history, but it can be summarized as: you don’t own a senator, and they do.

the problem isn’t the existance of ip law. the problem is the double standard created by a system that says when we take from them that’s not allowed, but when they take from us that’s fine. someday i want us to get to where shared ownership of the commons works, but to get there we have to remove the vampires who have stolen the commons from us
