The last two I tried had some of the crappiest sounding audio I’ve ever heard out of a premium phone. I have a $100 wired headset I’d like to use.

I use Anker’s $15 “USB C to 3.5mm Audio Adapter, Male to Female Nylon Cable for Samsung S20/S20+/S20 Ultra, Pixel 4/+ 4XL, and More Type C Devices” in my 6a with my m40x’s for music streaming and it is good enough™ so far

His verdict is that they’re all basically the same, but that has not been my experience. At least it wasn’t a year or two ago. Hoping the next one I buy is from a new era.

You could try the other way and get a Bluetooth adaptor to plug into your wired headphones? You might get better sound quality that way.

I recommend Ugreen over Anker after all that nonsense with their home security system.
