I know that is a lot of acronyms, but I saw a tool that Hugh Jeffrey’s YouTube channel uses, and have had a bit of trouble figuring out which unit to purchase.
He has a couple of links on his personal website, but does not mention where he got the amp meter.
There are a couple of e-waste devices I’ve had laying around for a bit that I would like to tinker with, but do not want to get stuck with a bad amp meter and destroy the circuitry. Looked around a bit and found this YouTube video on USB testers.
The FNB58 looks like a good tester, so I will likely purchase this one.
For those who have repaired mobile devices in some capacity, what cautionary tales should a beginner in this space be aware of? I’ve repaired handheld consoles in the past, but just by swapping out parts, as I did not have to diagnose them… I.e. broken screens…
