Something about calling health insurance companies “Payers” and giant oligopolies of hospitals “Health Systems” really gives me the ick.
Especially living in a state where several doctors that were seeing Medicaid patients are suddenly all “no longer practicing,” and the department of health is arguing Mediciad is unsustainable bc “no doctors want to see Medicaid patients.”
Not that they’re no longer taking Medicaid, they all just sort of disappeared from hospitals at once, just to be very clear.
