What’s it looking like for a third party? Action 2.5 years later isn’t action at all. We tried the “please barely don’t be fascists” and it didn’t work. Where are we going to put our vote to move forward?

There are real risks with relying on a private company, owned by Elon Musk, as a channel for communications
Damn right. Time to fire up a mastodon instance.

The government could easily run their own mastodon instance.

Everybody should leave X.

Way overdue. Hope it starts a trend.

This should have started a trend a long time ago, all the gov stuff should have moved to the federation or bluesky(i know…)

bluesky
Why? So the same thing can happen as with X? Jack Dorsey is yet another unhinged billionaire with problematic views of his own.
Federation is the only answer.

What is weird is that engagement without paid boosting is now mostly decimated on twitter. And the part that is boosted gets mostly engaged by bots. The situation is frankly ridiculous and no competent organization or personnel should be giving anything but RSS one way update there.

So when is Newsome going to interview Elon Musk on his podcast?

Took them long enough.
