  Lemmy is where you realize the place you were born in is evil and that you probably need to deconstruct some of the ways you think about the world because you grew up in an evil place. No one is calling you evil unless you brazenly support the evil thing

    There’s plenty of chauvinism flying around Lemmy in all directions, saying it doesn’t happen is simply incorrect.

    I wouldn’t necessarily call it a community wide problem.

    That’s bullshit. I literally had someone say they would indiscriminately would die to chop off tie Americans to trees and chop off their dick and put it in your mouth. Time and time again the vitriol against people, like myself who want nothing more than to burn it to the ground, is over the top.

      That post was a hypothetical comment about if the US became an invading force in Canada. It wasnt about ‘ordinary citizens who want to burn it to the ground’. If you care so much maybe go out and do something about what your government is doing.
