That makes me suspect the whole claim.
Bodyguards use the app.

Sounds like an operational and procedural issue from their bodyguards.
Yeah, if you are security personel for high ranking officials you should not have a personal phone on you or any other tracking device.
Are they really using regular consumer electronics? I can literally do better than them.
