Resident Evil 2, the classic survival horror game, will be available for purchase on GOG’s platform on August 27th. This marks an addition to the ‘completely uncut’ Resident Evil game on the digital storefront earlier this year.
The news comes with a promise of compatibility upgrades, including localization support in multiple languages (English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese), bug fixes, enhanced video playback features, savegame management improvements, and volume adjustments. Full controller support and immediate access to bonus modes like the 4th Survivor and Tofu without needing to complete the main campaign are also included.
Will you be picking up Resident Evil 2? Do the new features sound as if they’ll make for a significant change?

RE2 is one of my favorite games. Every time I play it, I get completely immersed. The graphics may be dated, but the sound and music is what really draws you in.
