With the recent browser update Vivaldi uses a new standard method for blocking ads and trackers. A good thing you would think. However I noticed that since that update it also disabled a row of links to my social media profiles on my own website. This seems too aggressive. Can somebody explain to me why this needs to be blocked? Even the 'light' setting still blocks this and I had to turn off the blocker altogether to fix it.
Please feel free to test on https://perifeer.org. The icons linking to social media are (supposed to be) on the top of the page on the right.
Please also let me know how to change the website so this does not get blocked. Or let me know if you plan to fix the ad blocker.
@harcorutgers Suspect Fanboy's Social Blocking List is causing the blocking. In Settings > Privacy and Security Click on the Edit button for the Light box and un-tick *Fanboy's Social Blocking List. Click the OK box and see if that does the trick...

@lfisk Thank you, that worked.
But why is Fanboy's Social Blocking List a standard setting here? I mean, it's blocking an entire list of links on my website, that includes a signal group, an rss feed and links to open social media like mastodon and oso. I fail to understand why these need to be blocked in a 'light' setting. Can you explain this to me?
Also, the 'strong' and 'agressive' settings at least include a warning that they may or probably will break websites. The 'light' setting does not have a warning like that, but still breaks my website.
@harcorutgers I'm just a user, no different than yourself other than I enjoy helping others...
I manage my own personal blocking list. It works for sites I visit everyday or ones that really piss me off with what they shove in my face.
I have no control over what Blocking lists are being used which is why I maintain my own🤷
